Shopping with a Client

When I meet with my clients whether it be at their home or in a boutique or department store, I have to dress comfortably. I'm running around and bending and sitting on the ground and jumping around. Sort of monkey-like, really. Anyway, I have to figure out an outfit that's not only comfortable but chic and stylish.

I want my clients to see me and think, "Oh yeah, she knows about style and how to dress herself, maybe that means she can help me." Not, "Oh Lord, what was she thinking!" I have to say that on days when I'm not meeting clients it's easy to pull together cute outfits. On the days when I'm working with someone, I really struggle. It's like I get fashion blocked.

So, for this meeting, I decided to throw together some high end brands with an H&M jacket. It's a great way to show a client that they can do this as well. I hope you like what I wore. Click on the pics to enlarge.

Jacket: H&M

Loving that little H&M jacket! You look fabulous - I definitely think it's a good idea to mix higher and lower end pieces when meeting with clients. Also, I totally understand what you mean by "fashion blocked" .... it's like whenever there's pressure to look good you just can't seem to pull it together nearly as easily.
