I feel like I'm reliving the late 70's in this outfit. Teal cords and a plaid shirt. It's like 1978 all over again. I can say those things now that I've revealed my age. How freeing.
I have to tell you the story behind this bag. Yesterday I went to pick up a check where I consign my clothes. They weren't able to sell this bag so I took it back home. I thought I'd give it another chance. I'm so happy it didn't sell because it's so great. It's big and gorgeous. It's perfect for a taking on a trip as well as carrying every day.
And that's a perfect segue to tell you that I won't be around next week to post anything or to come visit you guys and leave comments. I'm going to San Antonio, Texas to visit my sister/best friend. She gave birth to her third daughter in November. It's time for her to go back to work so I'm going to help her get ready for that. I can't wait to meet my new niece and to hang out with my sister. She has a 5 and 3 year old as well. They are all perfect in my estimation. I'm excited to go pamper and spoil each and every one of them.
It's going to be strange not stopping by your blogs. I will have a lot of catching up to do when I return on January 16th. I will miss you guys. Be stylin'!

I think I would have liked the 70s if I had been around for them. But, you know, since I wasn't, I'll just stop thinking about that.
Have a fun trip and safe travels!
I cannot believe that you are 48! I have been thinking all of this time that you were in your early 30's! I am feeling liberated now because I have felt too old for some of your cute looks, but now I am going to try them (I am 42 but feel 60 - ha ha!). LOVE your blog!!!
You'll be missed!
You look so awesome :D love the red, pink and teal together!
This is a fabulous look. I think I need a plaid shirt...
Enjoy your vacay and especially the kids!

Margaret! You made my day. Thank you so much for your very kind words. I couldn't find a way to contact you so I'm leaving you this comment.
The late '70s were my college years. Life was grand then: the only thing I worried about after reading books all day was where the best parties were. I smoked dope, drank beer and listened to loud music. I miss those times...
Have fun at your sisters!
I'm glad you didn't sell the bag because it looks beautiful. And is just so versatile! Have fun visiting the sis (and congrats to her too!)

I wore plaid & corduroy today, too! Go figureeee. I'll be posting the outfit next week, but I guess you won't be around to see it! ;) Have a great time! <3
Have a great time visiting your sister and the kiddos. 3 and 5 are such fun ages. Love the plaid shirt, and glad you didn't get rid of that fabulous bag.
Teal cords? Pretty funky and you are one of the lucky few who can pull off plaid! Texas? Wow I have always wanted to go there- in fact my man and I are planning a trip (prob to Dallas) for my B-Day! Have a great time with your sis and see you around the blogosphere soon :)
Tracy, have an awesome trip girl. Kisses to the new baby. You and I must be around the same age, because my "uniform" back then was jeans and a different plaid shirt. HAHAHA Some with those little ruffles! HAHAHAHA Have fun in San Antonio and we will be here when you get back. I'm catching up on blogs anyway. ((HUG))

I just found your blog and wanted to say hi! Cute outfit, and I really like your scarf. I hope you have fun on your trip!
Nothing wrong about 1978...As I do remember it! Love that laugh/smile!
All my Vince Camuto shoes are sooo Comfy! U need to get the hot pink ones! They would be really on you.
I am so glad that you didn't get rid of the bag. It's huge -- I bet I could fit inside of it!! Then again, I'm really little ... Bahahhaaha. I love the picture of you with something in your eye -- candid photos are my favorite.

Have a safe trip lady! It sounds like you are going to have an great time.
I love the pop of neon color that you snuck into this outfit with your skinny belt! It works really well with the rest of the look.

I don't know what it is today... Everyone keeps posting with their coffee mugs and it's making me want a cup! lol
Glad you and the huge bag were able to be reunited, and i hope you have a wonderful trip!
Chic on the Cheap
love plaid, love cords and I reaaaally love the subtle mix of pink and red you have going on here :)
And you were around for '78 (jealous, btw)??? Is it really true? I'm with Margaret, you don't hardly look over 30, IMO.
Safe travels, congrats to your sister, I hope you have a wonderful week in Texas!!!
I missed the reveal of your age, but I see it popping up in the comments on this post and I must say, I would never, in a million years, have guessed - frankly, I can't believe you were wearing anything but diapers in 1978. You look amazing!
On a more fashion-related note, you have proven that you have experience with 1970s fashion; this pairing of plaid and cords is possibly the best I've seen on a fashion blog yet. Hope you'll be rocking this look again on your trip. Have a wonderful time :)
xox,
Cee
Oh man, I wish I was a child of the 70s if it meant everyday was like this. :) I think the cord and plaid are like peas in a pod. And the bag is pretty perfect if you hoard as much stuff in your handbag as I do.
Sounds like a lovely trip to see your sister. :) I hope you have fun! xxx
You look fantastic. For me it's more college girl than '70's girl, and I like it!
I saw your feature on Gracey's blog! I love this casual outfit (more my style for sure) Hope you have a nice vacation, check me out sometime too!

Such a great post, I like it!!! The photos are simply fab!
Take a look and if you want we can follow each others: Cosa mi metto???
You look amazing Tracey! This outfit is banging yet also comfy-looking. And you always have little details that make you look again, like the zipper placement on your bag and the unexpected pink of your belt. (BTW, my word verification for this comment is hotall...fitting I'd say!)
